Sweetest Day- Pick Up The Right Rose

  Article By: Sean

It is not a crime to see the world through rose colored glasses on Sweetest Day. Just be happy and blissfully ignorant of all problems that drive you mad throughout the year. Sweetest Day can be best celebrated with the variety of colors of roses that are coming in your way. Each color has a different emotional connotation. So, it's not an easy task to choose the right rose for the right person.

Roses are always precious gifts for any occasion. And it is quite a traditional one but it never loses it's value. If you are not very sure about which color of rose goes with which occasion or with which relation, then, you could be even socially ostracized. Most of the ideas on the symbolic meaning of different plants and flower colors came from Victorian times. People at that time were not comfortable to express their feelings verbally. They had to take the help of any concrete medium to express the abstract. And when it comes to love and proposals, rose was the best medium to convey the right message. Roses are still very popular on love celebration days like Sweetest Day or Valentines Day. Both the sender and the receiver should be intelligent enough to understand the language of flowers. Otherwise the deep, passionate feelings will never be communicated in the right place and on the right time.

Red rose stands for romantic love. It can also convey courage and passion. Be aware of the temperament of the receiver. Red rose can always lead to misunderstandings. It is advisable that one should never start with a red rose. Just play safe. Amaranth red roses symbolize long standing desire and cardinal red is all about sublime desire. Carmine means false desire whereas fiery red represents flames of passion. Burgundy rose stands for unconscious beauty. Hence, all red roses are not same. So, if you want to gift your lover or your neighbor a rose on this coming Sweetest Day, then go for the right one. And if you feel that your intended recipient does not have so much knowledge about the language of rose, then just explain in a very short why you have chosen burgundy and not carmine rose. This is not Victorian age. You can speak up. Or you can add a tag to your gift. All these are better than allowing your rose to be a catalyst for future misunderstandings. Misunderstandings ruin relationships and Sweetest Day is meant to pay a tribute to the sweet relation you are sharing with your loved ones.

The best rose for your friends is the yellow one. It is known as the messenger of joy, friendship, caring or sympathy. It can also mark the beginning of a new relation. If you cannot afford to distribute candies to the orphans or street children, then, just gift a yellow rose to any of them. The innocent smile on his face will make your Sweetest Day meaningful. Yellow rose is no more a symbol of jealousy as it was conceived in Victorian period.

Sweetest Day is the day when you express your gratitude to the persons who always stand by you in the time of crisis. A darker pink rose will be the right gift for them. It symbolizes gratitude and appreciation. Orange roses are for enthusiasm or desire. Do not try to be unconventional and plan to give the rare black rose. It is still taken as a bad omen as black signifies death. But if your intention is to scare someone then, go for it. Blue roses ignite fantasy and search for miracles.

If your fiend is not sure about the color of the rose he should go for to convey his love at first sight, then, advise him to go for lavender rose and if it is all about the traditional platonic love, then, white rose is the best one for the message.

It is easy to become passionate about roses as they are available as varied forms of beauty and luscious scent. But it is not easy to chose the right one . Make your Sweetest Day more rosy as now you have the full knowledge of the language of rose.
