The Cruel Truth about MLM Network Marketing

One day I was surfing the internet, you know, for free stuff, videos, music, movies etc. The usual things you do when you have not been introduced to the MLM network marketing scheme of things. Totally oblivious to the fact that people are making money off the things I buy from the net.

The reason why we buy from the net is because it is so convenient. No long lines at the till, immediate shipping, all inclusive, and you get to take your time to see what you buy, research it, and make an informed decision. INFORMED, being the operative word here. When it comes to network marketing and everything else the MLM industry entails, we are to say the least CLUELESS!

We join the one opportunity to the next, falling for promises and money images constantly flashed into our minds! The real marketers have devised the most cunning ways to get you to sign up to their specific programs, and they are making money like you wont believe. I have come to realise that you as a person, need to be extraordinary to succeed in the business. Its not easy to get people to join your program if you are cash strapped, and have no time to spend on a business.

When you have a day job, you must have your priorities straight. You cannot simply quit your job and become a network marketer on the internet in one day or even a week.

I have to date joined more than 60 opportunities available on the net, gone to all the marketing and surfing sites, and what have I got NADA! Thats right. People promise you the world, you sign up, send them money, and all you get is an auto responder with silly little instructions that they give to Millions of other people. Now of course we all know that if millions of people are doing it, the market is simply smaller. There is not a lot of room to breathe or get seen.

Classified ad sites are filled with Home based business opportunities. So are auto surfs, and manual surfs. Dont even get me started on the fact that you pay people to sign up. These people are not interested in your business, they just sign up to your site so they can earn a reward of a few points or cents! People on surfing sites are there for one reason, to get paid for clicking on your ads. You dont make money of it, they rarely join your program, and you pay the promotion! So in effect you are giving out money, and getting nothing in return.

Now dont get me wrong, this is all my personal opinion, and from my personal experience. I know that not everyone has the same experiences, but some of us just cant get to where we need to go. We cannot tap into this market.

If there is one thing I know by now, its that a business needs a product, a REAL PHYSICAL product that you can hold in your hands.

Not all of us are sellers, if we were, we would be making money selling cars, or other products, and truthfully, most of us hate selling things to other people, because we dont like sales people. There is a stigma attached to sales people that they only want to sell you their product, because he makes a good commission off it. Do they use the products themselves Most probably not, and most of the time they have the most cunning ways of getting you to buy from them. They find your weak spot, they drum on it, and they keep at it, until you cave in. They have the gift, and they ruthlessly use it, because this is what they do, this is how they make a living.

Most programs sell you just about anything under the moon, except for a real physical product. Sing up now, and receive a free copy of the instant millionaire or something to that effect. Most of the time, its just a little e-mail campaign, that is mostly worthless. And we, the silly buggers we are, fall for it, because theres an instant bonus to the program. WAKE UP, that instant bonus is nothing; its just a way to get your money to their pockets!

There is only one way to make money instantly, and I mean lots of money. You can sell some of your organs on the black market, but then again, you have to hope you get out there alive!

I have owned my own business for a while now, but had to stop it because we moved countries, and I have to start from scratch again. To have a business is the same as having a very demanding and sometimes handicapped child. You have to nurture it, give your life to it, and put your business before yourself. In at least the first 3 years of your business, if you are lucky, you cannot afford luxury living, going on overseas holidays or maybe even that large flat screen TV you were looking forward to. These are the true and real facts.

You have to eat, breathe and sleep your business. You need clients, you need people to work for you, and you need stock, expertise and patience.

People often lose faith in themselves. It happens to me on a daily basis. But you have to keep going dont you You cannot simply give up. Man was not made that way, and at a certain point in your life youd like to look back and say: MAN, What a Ride!

My advice in this situation would be, if you really need to start a home based business, dont let anything or anyone stop you. Just make sure you have a informed decision of what to do and who to do it with.

Remember there are 3 essentials to starting a home business if you are going to join someone in their program:

1: The Company must be well established at least 1 year of revenue should be available.

2: There must be an actual product, not just promises.

3: They must provide you with a proven system that works i.e. A business plan.
